J. Mills is the author of The Wild Expanse. A stay-at-home dad by day, novelist by night, he studied business administration at Columbia Southern University and Intelligence Operations Studies at Cochise College. He is a disabled combat veteran who served 13 years in the United States Army as a Multiple Launch Rocket Systems crewmember and a Human Intelligence Collector where he has several published intelligence reports throughout the Intel Community. A Chicago native, he is a lover of coffee, naps, the Blackhawks, and an advocate for children with special needs, currently residing in South Carolina. He loves spending time with his wife and children.
